Can you use a front wheel drive car for rally racing?

Rally racing has become a popular motorsport and many people are interested in taking part. However, not all cars are suitable for rally racing. Front wheel drive (FWD) cars can be used in rally racing, but they are generally not as successful as cars with four wheel drive (4WD). FWD cars have less traction and are more prone to oversteer, which makes them more difficult to control at higher speeds. They also have less grip on loose surfaces, such as dirt, gravel and snow. Despite these limitations, some rally drivers have been able to achieve success with FWD cars.
